Dragbox Manufacture

TCL Seal are busy welding our dragbox together in their Sheffield works.  This is a great demonstration of their engineering skills.

In the left background is the bottom plate with the cut-outs, and the ring that will support the steam brake cylinder.

The dragbox will weigh almost a ton when complete.  Its machining will be sufficiently accurate that it can be used with other supports and guides as a frame assembly guide.  We can’t wait to start putting it into the frame assembly!
