Delays Delays!

We attended the Severn Valley Railway at Kidderminster on 27th July, and contributed to the LNWR Heritage Group’s event in the Old Nursery to launch our Frame assembly Appeal.

There have been multiple delays hindering progress lately. Fitting of our cab footsteps awaits agreement on a risk assessment/method statement as required by Crewe Heritage Centre. That’s fair enough, as the CHC is responsible for safety on there site, and they need re-assurance that we can manage the job safely. We hope to get it done before the end of the month.

Our order for the motion plate and frame stretcher has been delayed by the need to specify acceptance standards. Sadly, this is an own goal, we should have sorted it out earlier. A proposal has now been made, which should enable us to finalise the issues with our supplier and the Approvals body. Expect good news this month or early next month.

Our dragbox design is now well on the way, we just need to check the various holes that the LNWR one had in the original, try and work out what they were for and decide which ones to include on the new one.

Our search for a new home continues.  If you should know of a possible home for us please get in touch.

Challenges come our way, we deal with them!
