Busy Times

We spent today developing our process for reaming out precision holes for the drive fit bolts to secure the hornblocks to the locomotive’s frames.  Sadly we haven’t managed it yet.  However we do think we have a way to do it, which we will try next week.

Our new computer is now with us thanks to Cubit Computers of Derby. Loading everything on to it is the present challenge, another way to while away the hours.  It’s getting there, the zipped CAD software was a big download at 15GB, and will be installed once the Microsoft can be persuaded that it’s not a virus.

At the weekend there is an event for the Advanced Steam Technology Trust at Pickering, including a trip on the NYMR to Grosmont.  It promises to be an interesting weekend.  On Tuesday we are at Tyseley for the Main Line Steam Builders’ Group  which is a most helpful event.

More news next week.
